You woke up this morning and decided to check out your favourite forum or website.
Only to find it’s just been stolen by the fake commercial industry police like the PIPCU.
Well this trick might work and might not, it all depends on how the website was stolen from the owner.
When i say stolen i mean legal theft stolen! These people pretending to be the police are just criminals.
They contact your hosting provider, threaten them into handing over your entire website to them.
The theft part is because this is without any court oversight, no court due process just instant theft.
They don’t even give the owner his money back they might of paid out for the domain name/hosting.
Which means not only do you lose your website. But you STILL have to continue to pay for your hosting!
Remember the people you normally go too, to actually report a theft are now actually the people who’s stealing!
Anyway… If the hosting provider is completely separate to the domain name! You now have a chance to
Visit the website / forum to delete all your contents all your personal information, and delete your account etc.
Remember the domain name was stolen, not the actual server that hosted the website/forum!.
But act quick! There’s nothing stopping you from removing all your own personal info from any website.
That’s your own property. If you don’t want these people having access to your uploads/personal files.
Then again this is your property, you have a right to be-able to remove it and wipe it before anyone sees it.
So how does this work! How can i still access this stolen website?
When a webmaster sets up their own website it’s normally with a 3rd party hosting provider.
Either the hosting package comes with a domain name included free, or it’s just a hosting package where you
Then need to buy a domain name separate and then link/attach that domain name to the hosting package.
So lets say you bought a hosting package without a domain name from justhost.com (my hosting provider)
You would be given x amount of space on their company’s servers, where you then upload your own web contents.
To access your web hosting space’s HTML/PHP index page from the Internet. You do this by normally typing in
www.somewebsite.com if the domain name is linked to the web hosting site, then your HTML/PHP index page would load.
If the domain name is actually separate, then the domain name linking to your hosting provider, is normally the item
That these people steal from the owner. The actual hosting package is completely separate and they cannot get to this.
If the domain name & the hosting package is provided from the same company as a bundled deal, then sorry this won’t
Work. Since they will also take control of the hosting provider & the actual domain name linked to that hosting package.
(Here’s an example of our own website below)
In the example above, see how we’ve replaced the domain name www.isprevolution.net with 184.108.40.206
You will notice our webpage still loads just fine, no different than normal, just as if we had typed the domain name in.
If our hosting package was separate to our domain name. And our domain name was the only thing that was stolen.
Then you could still access our website, via going through our hosting packages IP Address. Not our domain name.
NOTE: IF you actually try this example on our website, you will not see our website, we have since disabled this feature.
As it was only to be used as an example. Now you will see our hosting providers landing page (This was to stop abuse)
But 99% of all other websites will not have disabled this feature. As most of their domain names wouldn’t of come as a package deal. Meaning they would have bought their domain name completely separate, and just linked their domain name to their web hosting provider.
So moving on… You can use this simple trick now to quickly still access seized/stolen websites by the PIPCU.
If they’ve stolen the domain name only. Then you will still be-able to access the website via their web hosting IP Address.
But if they’ve stolen the entire web package domain/hosting, then you will not be-able to use this method at all.
So what should i do now?
Well start going around all your favourite websites now! Simply making note of each websites IP Address.
Once you’ve got all the IP Addresses marked down and saved on say notepad. You’re now 1 step ahead of the PIPCU.
IF in the future you find the website has become stolen. Then you already have that websites IP Address.
So depending how they’ve actually stolen the website, you might have time to login and delete yourself from the Database.
So how do i actually find each of my favourite websites IP Addresses?
Simply use a website like https://www.site24x7.com. You just visit their website, type a domain name into their search box.
And hit convert. It will then convert the domain name address you entered into that domain/hosting sites IP Address.
If you don’t want to use Site24x7. Then simply just use your favourite search engine, and type in “Covert Website to IP Address” There’s 100’s of website services that are completely free to use, to do this simple task.
